Font Romeu is in the eastern Pyrenees and has the highest
amount of sunshine of any french resort. The village
is perched above the Cerdagne plateau at
1800 metres with fabulous views over to Spain and Andorra. It is a real
french village with year round activities, restaurants,
bars and nightclubs. There
are a number of hot springs in the region - either accessible free to those
willing to tramp over the hills - or in open-air pools in the spa villages
of St Thomas, Llo and Dorres.
