Arreau, village of the Haute
Pyrenees, sits on the river Aure at the apex
of three Pyrenean valleys leading to the high
mountains. A very old village, it boasts a jumble
of decoratively painted houses with wooden balconies
giving on to tiny squares and the river. 
From
Arreau one can get to any of the nearby ski
resorts in less than 20 minutes:
Val Louron, Peyragudes or St Lary. Skiing in
the Pyrenees is all about tiny villages and
unspoilt landscapes.
SKIING
We
have included a ski pass for the resort of
St Lary with this package.
The largest of the local resorts it offers the
most choice for family skiing, boarding and more
demanding slopes. St Lary is probably the top
ski resort in the Central Pyrenees.

A magnificent 3* residence just a few minutes
from the village, built in the old style
with slate roof and wooden balconies facing
south over the river.
Each apartment comes with
a fully-equipped kitchen comprising: dishwasher,
fridge,
coffee-maker, toaster, 4 hotplates and a
combined oven/grill/microwave. Satellite
TV, internet connection, bathroom and WC,
bed-linen provided. Baby-beds are extra, €25
per stay, payable on arrival. |
