Grandvalira,
the largest ski domain in Andorra and one of
the top twenty in the world, includes
these resorts: Canillo, El Tarter, Encamp, Grau
Roig, Pas de la Casa and Soldeu.
High atop
the Pyrenean range is the tiny principality of
Andorra. As a ski resort
Andorra made its name in the 80's as a cheap and
cheerful place for good skiing and partying but ran
into trouble in later years due to poor access roads
and over-keen building projects.
Things have settled down now with
better, quality hotels and well-cleared access roads.
Drink is still duty-free so there's still quite a
bit of partying.

suspended its sale of Andorran packages for 2008-9
because of the access problems - it
just takes
too long to get there.
